MATRICIS

Matricis constitue pour l’artiste une évolution de son travail de recherche sur les Favelas. Tirant parti des intentions graphiques de ce dernier, il nous délivre à présent une iconographie plus abstraite, se dégageant de toute forme de figuration. L’utilisation du couteau à peinture comme signature, le geste est rapide, musical et les couleurs vibrantes. Nous découvrons alors des « paysages intérieurs torturés », inspirés inconsciemment par les œuvres des maîtres de l’ expressionisme abstrait.

Matricis constitutes for the artist an evolution of his research work on the Favelas. Taking advantage of the latter’s graphic intentions, he now gives us a more abstract iconography, freeing itself from any form of figuration. Using the paint knife as a signature, the gesture is rapid, musical and the colors vibrant. We then discover « tortured interior landscapes », unconsciously inspired by the works of the masters of abstract expressionism.
